Throughout the year we host a programme of events, often in collaboration with some of the best farmers, producers and vineyards in the region and beyond.
From intimate suppers in our Georgian dining rooms to lively parties in the bar, our events are all about delicious food, thoughtful wines and a warm Bower House welcome.
Thursday 8th October
An Evening with Prue Leith
Our favourite local and national treasure will be joining us for cocktails, a delicious supper featuring some of her best-loved dishes, followed by an interview, Q&A, and book-signing of her latest hit, ‘Being Old… and learning to love it!’.
The proceeds of the evening will be going to support the wonderful work of Chefs in Schools.
Booking will be live on Friday 11th September at midday at the booking link below — choose the evening of Thursday October 8th. Please do book your spot as close to that time as you can to avoid disappointment, as places are very limited.
Christmas & New Year
Christmas at The Bower House is full of sparkle, champagne and feasting!
Our festive menus are brimming with seasonal favourites and celebratory flavours, perfect for gatherings large or small.
We welcome private groups from six to seventy for festive breakfasts, lunches and suppers, with wine pairings and impeccable service. And when it comes to New Year’s Eve, we host a proper celebration!

Live within 15 miles of The Bower House? Every Wednesday in September and October, we’ll give you 15% off your restaurant bill. A little thank you to our neighbours and regulars.

Charles Heidsieck Champagne Supper
A truly celebratory evening with historic and renowned champagne house Charles Heidsieck (and on Thanksgiving, for any of our American guests!).
Hosted by Charles Heidsieck’s Francesca D’Albertanso, the menu features four of Charles Heidsieck’s showcase champagnes, alongside a menu created by our Head Chef Leo Kattou to complement perfectly.
